What Brings Omaha Homeowners to This Page

You don't know who decides what

Homeowner, contractor, and adjuster all have separate roles, and mixing them up creates false expectations.

You've been promised an outcome

Any contractor guaranteeing approval or a specific settlement is telling you something they cannot control.

The paperwork is unfamiliar

Scope documents and estimates use language most homeowners never see anywhere else.

Insurance Claims Help, Explained

Coverage decisions are made by your insurer

Alfa Y Omega Construction Inc. does not approve claims, determine coverage, or set settlement amounts. Those decisions are made by your insurance company under the terms of your policy. We will not promise an approval, a coverage result, or a dollar figure.

The homeowner's role

  • Deciding whether to file a claim
  • Communicating with the insurance company
  • Reviewing and authorizing the work
  • Handling the deductible and payment terms of the policy

The contractor's role

  • Inspecting the property and documenting conditions
  • Providing a scope of work and estimate
  • Being present for the adjuster inspection when appropriate
  • Reviewing the approved scope against what the property needs
  • Completing the authorized work

The adjuster's role

  • Representing the insurance company
  • Inspecting the property
  • Determining what the policy covers
  • Producing the claim scope and settlement

Questions worth asking

  • What is my deductible, and when is it due?
  • Does my policy pay replacement cost or actual cash value?
  • What is the deadline for filing after a storm?
  • What is included in the approved scope, and what is not?
  • What happens if the contractor finds damage the scope does not cover?

Process

How This Works, Step by Step

  1. 01

    Inspection

We inspect the exterior and document conditions with photos.

  2. 02

    Your decision

You decide whether to file a claim. We do not file it for you.

  3. 03

    Adjuster inspection

We can be present to discuss what we documented.

  4. 04

    Scope review

We review the insurer's approved scope against the property.

  5. 05

    Project coordination

We schedule and complete the authorized work, then walk it with you.

Excellent work on roof, siding, soffits, facia and gutters. They worked with the insurance company so it made the process painless for me. I'd highly recommend them!

The finest company of roofers I've ever worked with. Tore the roof completely off and brought up to code. Considering all the work that needed to be done; the cost was very reasonable. If you are looking for a company that is completely up front, fair and honest, I highly recommend Alfa Y Omega!

Questions

Insurance Claims Help FAQs

Straight answers, no pressure. If yours isn't here, call and ask.

Can you guarantee my claim will be approved?
No. No contractor can. Coverage and claim decisions are made by your insurer.
Will you pay or waive my deductible?
No. The deductible is your responsibility under your policy, and handling it otherwise is not something we do.
Should I file a claim for every storm?
Not necessarily. Get an inspection first so the decision is based on what is actually on your roof.
What if the approved scope misses something?
We document it and provide that information so it can be raised with your insurer. The insurer decides how to handle it.
